Orton Academy and Research was created by Dr. Jane Orton to help people working on a book, documentary or research project and to provide one-on-one online tuition for independent learners, A Level and university students. 

We support independent researchers who are looking for a research mentor and ‘teammate’ – someone with a strong academic background and research experience who can guide them in their own personal endeavours. We also help students pursue excellence without sacrificing the excitement of learning. No ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach but real, human interaction!

 

We offer:

- A Level tuition, including regular online tuition supporting school studies, ad hoc tutorials, school holiday tuition, exam revision and home schooling.

- University tuition, including regular or ad hoc personal tuition and in-depth essay feedback, dissertation support, preparation for university for international and home students and university interview preparation.

- Tuition for independent learners, including pre-written and bespoke courses and ad hoc tutorials on a subject of your choosing.

- Research support for people who are writing a book, making a documentary or developing an independent research project.

 

We cover most areas of the humanities, including Classics and Ancient History, Anthropology and Folklore, Philosophy, Politics, Religious Studies and Theology, History and Art History. We also specialise in wildlife and conservation projects that link to the humanities.
